Main features of experiential Learning
- "Method of instruction is "probabilistic rather than deterministic" (Lindsey and Berger, 2009, pg. 117)
- This method is "learner-centered vs. teacher-centered" This means that the curriculum gives learners an opportunity to engage in the curriculum and the the students play an "active" role in the process and the outcomes developed for the course. (Lindsey and Berger, 2009, pg. 117)
- Curriculum tends to focus on "real world" problems or skills needed when the student goes out into the work world.
- Teachers act as facilitators
- Collaboration and co operation is encouraged in learning
- Experiential Learning gives opportunity to prepare for real life and work situations
