- Tables will need arranged to allow 5 groups of four learners to sit together. four tables will be joined to form a square
- Tables will need to be covered to allow easy clean up at the end.
- Floors will have to have drop cloths in case of spilling kool-aid, colour, water or other ingredients
- A safe area designated for the kettle will have to be allocated
- Sinks are unavailable, either disposable utensils and bowls for mixing will need to be used or a bin to allow students to carry materials to wash facilities will be provided.
- Materials will need to be purchased so each group can effectively mix and create play-dough.
- A kettle will have to be used to make hot water for the dough- a discussion around safety will have to take place.
- Measuring materials will have to include oz an ml to accommodate all learners.
- A week before the activity the facilitator will have to carry out a discussion about allergies and ensure no one is allergic to flour or any other ingredients being used.
