As we learn we tend to go through a process that allows us to intake information, and similar to Merrill's 4 phases take new information and apply it to an actual event or activity. Once we have had opportunity to engage in this even or activity we are able to reflect on it and form conclusions. We can continue the cycle of learning. A person has an opportunity to process information and continuously "draw meaning from experinece and apply that meaning to new experiences." (Reigeluth and Carr-Chellman, 2009, p. 122)
